Chelsea are through to the Champions League final after a 2-2 draw over Barcelona at Nou Camp in their semi-final second-leg encounter on a 3-2 aggregate victory.
Barca took the lead through Sergio Busquets, who tapped home from close range.
Chelsea’s hopes looked all but over as Terry was sent off for kneeing Alexis Sanchez from behind.
Chelsea fell further behind as Barca scored another goal in the 43’, when Andres Iniesta latched onto Lionel Messi’s pass and prodded past Peter Cech.
The Blues finally found the back of the net, when Ramires ran onto Frank Lampard’s pass and beat Victor Valdes in the first half stoppage time, putting his side ahead of away goals.
In the 59’, Lionel Messi blasted a penalty off the crossbar and hit the post with another shot but failed to convert.
Barcelona continued to dominate the proceedings and had more ball possession but failed to find a way past the Chelsea defence.
Substitute Fernando Torres who had struggled all season netted in injury time to make it 3-2 on aggregate and Chelsea reached the May 19 final at Allianz Arena in Munich. But Chelsea will be missing Terry, Ramires, Branislav Ivanovic and Raul Meireles for the final.
