Manchester City were 5-0 winners against Barnsley on Saturday, while Wigan triumphed 3-0 at Everton.
Wigan are into the semi-finals for the first time in their 81-year history and chairman Dave Whelan hopes Blackburn provide the opposition.
The semifinals will take place on April 13 and 14, with Wigan now waiting to see whether it will play Blackburn or Millwall, who drew 0-0 on Sunday and have to meet again.
