Steven Gerrard says England are not afraid of Montenegro.
The England captain was in defiant mood hours after home coach Branko Brnovic had laid into Roy Hodgson’s men at his own press conference.
Steven Gerrard claims England have Montenegro ‘right where we want them’ ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifier in Podgorica.
Ahead of Tuesday’s crucial World Cup qualifier Coach Brnovic labelled England a long-ball side and said Hodgson should be “scared” of their hosts.
But England captain Steven Gerrard hit back and vowed England would answer these jibes on the pitch.
Brnovic clearly feels England are showing their arrogance by complaining about the pitch and was also fired up after being told England have organised friendlies with Germany and Argentina in November – which suggests they assume they will not have to qualify for the World Cup via the play-offs.
