Spanish playmaker Santi Cazorla scored a hat-trick to help Arsenal beat Reading 5-2 in the Premier League on Monday.
Lukas Podolski opened the account for Arsenal in the 14th minute and Santi Carzola scored in the 32nd, 35th and completed his hat-trick in English football in the 60th minute.
Reading managed to pull one back when Adam Le Fondre scored in the 66th minute. Jimmy Kebe also scored the second goal for Reading in the 71st minute.
Theo Walcott then added another one for Arsenal in the 80th minute and defeated bottom place Reading 5-2.
Wenger has come in for heavy criticism in recent weeks with some calling for his sacking after the Gunners lost a League Cup tie to fourth-tier Bradford City last week despite fielding a full strength side.
Arsenal are now in fifth place, two points behind Tottenham and Chelsea.
For Reading, it was their sixth consecutive Premier League defeat and they are in the bottom of the table, six points from safety and facing an immediate return to the second tier.
