John Terry set Chelsea on the way to a 1-1 draw with Liverpool, after the defender returned from a racism ban ended prematurely in pain Sunday as the Chelsea captain was carried off injured in the Premier League on Sunday.
John Terry headed in his 50th Chelsea goal from Juan Mata’s corner in the 20th minute.
But 15 minutes later, Terry fell awkwardly after a collision with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, was carried off on a stretcher and later left the ground on crutches with a brace on his right knee.
Suarez headed in an equalizer for his team in the 73rd minute.
The draw leaves Chelsea in third position, three points behind leader Manchester United, while Liverpool is at the 13th position in the League’s standings.
