The Football Association will be appointing a technical director for the first time in 10 years.
The FA wants an experienced manager to run the new national football centre at St George’s Park.
The governing body is looking for someone who has an experience at coaching, playing and managing at the highest level.
Howard Wilkinson was the only permanent technical director of the FA but he left in 2002 to manage Sunderland.
Les Reed, however, was the acting technical director until 2004.
General Secretary Alex Horne, said that the role of the technical director will be crucial as the FA wants to improve the technical ability and knowledge of the players and coaches both now and in the future.
