Four foreigners undergoing trials for SLFC. Shillong Lajong, who haven’t been in the best of form lately, will go into their next league game against title contenders Chirag United without striker Anil Gurung. The Nepalese forward has left to represent his country’s U-23 side at the South Asian Games.
However, there is some good news for Shillong Lajong FC , as midfielder Samson makes his way back into the side.
“Chirag have some excellent players, particularly the Brazilians, who are doing well. But are boys are strong and we hope to give our best against them.” says Coach Stanly.
Also, there are four foreign players currently on trial at Shillong Lajong, after the AIFF allowed the club to replace Michael Bassey, who is out for a few months due to injury.
There are three Nigerians and one from Ghana trying out in Shillong at the moment, although none have been selected. Speaking about the trials, Rosario added, “Yes four players are undergoing trials, and we are looking at them for now. If anyone does well, we will surely select him for the game.”
