Goan side Sporting Clube De Goa will play host to North East side Shillong Lajong FC at the Duler Football Stadium on Tuesday ,in what will be a crucial Round 15 I-League encounter for both the sides.
Desmond Bulpin’s side goes in to the match with a worrying factor as the squad has been hit by several injury problems to some of the key players and this has become a major concern for the team which will certainly force Des Bulpin to explore his squad replacements.
The Shillong outfit will settle for no less than a win, as they look to garner home all three points which will assure them of safety from the relegation zone.
Shillong Lajong ,though will see the return of first choice keeper Lalthuanmawia Ralte, who was handed a one-match suspension, following his sent-off in the game against Pune FC. This will be a morale-booster of sorts for the Reds, who will look to shrug the past results from their shoulders and try to win at Goa.
Desmond Bulpin said that he is very happy that Ralte and Wailad will be back for tomorrow’s game as they were suspended and Lalramluaha will also be back from injury. But Renedy and Friday both are injured and will not feature in tomorrow’s game.
“We have too many injuries at the wrong time and this has really been very expensive for us. Despite the odds we have to remain positive and the league is getting very competitive right now; everybody is beating everybody”.
He concluded by saying that, “All you need is three wins in a row to climb up the standings. The boys continue to train very hard and I believe that they will display a stronger and better performance tomorrow”.
