The Meghalaya Football Association , in collaboration with the AIFF Referees’ Department, headed by Col Goutam Kar( retd) , organized a One Day Referee Development Seminar, which was attended by 60 referees (active and retired), at the J N Stadium, Shillong.
The seminar was conducted by the Head of Referees’ Department of the AIFF, Col Goutam Kar, who stressed on the importance of “structured grooming and training” for the referees ,during the course of his presentation. Col Goutam also highlighted the finer points of modern day refereeing and pointed out that there is huge potential in Meghalaya for referees.
The seminar also saw an interactive session between the State’s referees and Col Goutam. The session was a success and would go a long way in developing the State’s referees ,even as the game of football grows and spread throughout the State and the country as a whole.
