The Airmen played Mumbai FC in the 10th round of the I-League and stunned Khalid Jamil’s side after they registered a comfortable 4-1 win against the Mumbaikars.
With three wins and one draw Air India is currently placed in the 10th position with 10 points.
Crossing over, Shillong Lajong grabbed their first away point when they played a goalless draw against United Sikkim last weekend in Gangtok.
The “Reds” will look to consolidate their position in the table,as they seek to go for an outright win against the Airmen ,after a morale-boosting draw against United Sikkim in their last away game.
SLFC Head Coach Desmond Bulpin said that, “The league is very competitive now and Air India is a good side. We will play for a win tomorrow and hope to see the never say die spirit and attitude from the boys.”
“Air India is on a good run right now and it will be a tough game tomorrow”, he added.
