SLFC Coach Mr. P. Reddy has named the following squad
Lalthuammawia Ralte (GK)
Joy Mrong Kharaswai
Coach Reddy expects the boys to have a better understanding of their roles in this game since they are taking time to adjust to the formation change.
The Lajong boys had a recovery session at the beach again instead of the regular training routine.
When asked about the opposition Coach Reddy said that, “Southern Samity put Mumbai FC under a tremendous amount of pressure & it’s a must win match for them if they are to stay in the competition, so they will no doubt be a tougher test than the past 2 matches. They also have a few players who have expressed a desire to join Lajong next season , so no doubt they will raise their game tomorrow as well”.
After the debacle in the IFA Shield in Kolkata, the team has risen to the challenge and have responded with great vigour and commitment in the past two matches of the E K Nayanar Tournament.
Coach Reddy feels that ,”The tournament has been an excellent opportunity to correct some of the mistakes made in the past month, as well as an opportunity to experiment with different formations and personnel . The benefit of acclimatization to the Kerela weather & the reduction in excessive travel should hopefully benefit the team in the game vs. Chirag Kerela on the 24th”.
