I-League side Pune FC signed up Liberia-born Australian striker Boima Jerry Karpeh replacing Japanese Daisuke Nishiguchi.
The 28-year-old replaces Nishiguchi, who was released in the first week of February.
Jerry, a naturalised Australian, born in Liberia, Africa, thus fulfils the Asian quota as per I-League regulations.
The 6’2″ striker has plied his trade for clubs like Perth SC and Floreat Athena and was even top scorer in the West Australian League.
The striker has also played for Goan side Churchill Brothers in the 2010-11 season where he played 14 appearances for the club, scoring 4 goals. He also played a key role in Churchill’s IFA Shield win in March 2011.
