Christiano Ronaldo becomes the fastest football player to score 100 goals in the Spanish league by scoring two goals in Real’s 5-1 demolition of Real Sociedad on Saturday.
He now has a total of 101 goals in 92 league matches.
Ronaldo moved from Manchester United to Madrid in 2009 and has scored 26 league goals in his first season.
Ronaldo raced past the Sociedad’s defense to latch onto Kaka’s pass and slotted the ball home for his 100th goal in the 32nd minute in what was a one sided La-Liga fixture.
Ronaldo then tapped home a cross from striker Gonzalo Higuain in the 56th to take his tally to 101 in 92 league matches, edging past Puskas’s recored of 100 goals from 105 games.
Ronaldo who is 27 years of age is having the best season for Madrid with an outstanding 45 goals in all competitions so far.
