Livorno midfielder Piermario Morosini passed away during his team’s Serie B match at Pescaraon on Saturday. The 25 year old footballer suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed on the pitch during the 33rd minute and medical staffs rushed onto the pitch.
He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance and slipped into a pharmacological coma. The doctors tried to revive him but he never recovered. Unfortunately, he was declared dead when he was brought to the hospital.
Serie A have postponed all the weekend’s professional soccer matches.
Morosini, was born in Bergamo and a former player with the city’s Atalanta team.
