As expected, the junior Reds dominated the proceedings from the word go, with more shots on goal than their opponents, while the match turned out to be an outright entertaining and competitive encounter between the two sides. This kept the balance between the two teams, till the added time of the first half, which saw the first goal of the match.
It was Lalramuana who broke the deadlock, when on the rebound, he scorched a powerful right footed shot past the keeper to give Lajong a deserving 1-0 lead.
The second half saw both teams started brightly with Laitlyngkot surging forward in search for the equaliser. The action flew thick and fast, much like the tackles, even as further drama unfolded in the later stages of the 2nd half, when Lajong colt Rakesh was yellow carded for a technical foul.
That was the last piece of action that the game saw however, even as the Reds surged to the top of the standings with yet another comfortable victory.
