Shillong Lajong emerged as the winners in today’s clash versus Wahingdoh winning by the scoreline of 6-1 at the SSA Stadium.
Samuela gave Shillong Lajong an early lead in the match but the lead was cancelled after Wahingdoh managed to equalise. The scoreline was one all at halftime.
Samuela helped his team to restore the lead after he converted a superb goal from the edge of the box in the 60th minute.
Just three minutes later, Lalrammuana scored from inside the box and gave the Reds a 3-1 lead. He then netted his second goal and Lajong’s fourth in the 72nd minute.
Lajong’s Centre Back, Kenstar, scored his first ever Shillong Premier League goal today with a fantastic right footed shot from inside the box in the 83rd minute.
Shaiborlang tapped in Shillong Lajong’s sixth goal of the game from an excellent cross of Phrangki Buamin the 90+ minute.
The match ended with Lajong winning by 6-1 against Wahingdoh.
Shillong Lajong will play their next game versus MLP on 24th October.
