Shillong Lajong FC Academy boys will take on Clube Atlético Paranaense from Brazil on Monday in what will be a tough quarterfinals encounter in the U-17 Subroto Cup Inernational Football Tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi at 3:30PM.
Lajong Junior Reds kicked off their Subroto Cup campaign on October 11. They displayed a strong performance and won all their group matches against Central Cost Mariners FC from Australia by 2-1, Tata Football Academy by 1-0, Pune City FC by 2-1 and scored four goals in their last group match to beat Delhi Dynamos FC 4-0.
Shillong Lajong FC Academy has scored a total of 9 goals in the group stage. Donboklang Lyngdoh scored a total of four goals from three games while Lalrohlua scored two goals in a single game. Kagaley, Parvaj and Welbokstar netted one goal each.
Shillong Lajong FC Head of Youth Deveopment Coach Gumpe Rime said, “The boys are focussed and ready for the game.”

“All our group matches was tough too. We had all the top academies of India including the team from Australia. The boys fought as a team and tomorrow also they have to fight it out together. Our boys have given 100% and we expect them to continue with same spirit display good football.”
