Shillong Lajong Football Club Academy boys, Yami Longvah, Frolicson Dkhar and Lalrintluanga have been selected to represent India in the International Youth Soccer Festival to be held in Milan later this year.
Around 6500 young footballers had participated from 650 schools in the fitfth season of the Tata Tea Jaage Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars. Mr. Jamshid Nassiri, who was the tournament Head Scout, selected 37 talented players from about 15 locations all over India and were trained by Inter Milan youth coaches in a camp that was held in Kolkata, organised by Tata Tea and Inter Milan, The Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars’12.
It was announced in a press conference in Kolkata that 16 talented youngsters had made the cut and will be representing India in a football tournament in Milan later this year. Five boys have been selected from Shillong, Yami Longvah, Frolicson Dkhar and Lalrintluanga of SLFC including Pynkrawnam Nongklaw and Garrykupar Kynta will also travel to Inter Milan,a footballing powerhouse.
