Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul will not feature in France’s Euro 2012 squad due to a knee injury, said coach Laurent Blanc.
Kaboul suffered an old knee problem in Sunday’s Barclays Premier League win against Fulham and this has lead to his exclusion from the 26-man squad.
Earlier this month, Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna also suffered a broken leg against Norwich and was ruled out of Blanc’s preliminary selection.
Other English club players in the squad are Manchester United defender Patrice Evra, Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny, Manchester City duo Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri, and Chelsea midfielder Florent Malouda.
Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, has found a place for himself in the French squad for the first time in his career.
France will face Iceland before the squad is trimmed, followed by friendlies with Serbia and Estonia.
France has been placed in Group D for Euro 2012 with England, Sweden and Ukraine.
